Vallejo Home flagpole restored

Last year the flagpole at the Vallejo Home was damaged. Our diligent maintenance department, led by Doug Johnson, Park Maintenance Chief I, worked together on the restoration. On July 2nd the flagpole was put back in its place, just in time for Independence Day.  An interesting aside, it is perhaps the only site where a California flag is not flown, as part of the interpretation at the park.

The photo, taken by Emily Walski, Guide 1, shows the flagpole being raised by Timothy Wood, Restoration Work Specialist, and Sam Loera, Maintenance Aide.
