This year’s Children’s Day at the Barracks, on Saturday, May 4th, was not swayed by Mother Nature’s May surprise – Rain. No problem for the flexible Sonoma State Historic Park staff and SPParks volunteers who simply moved inside with lanterns and jackets. Craft tables, refreshments, music and Minecraft demonstrations were plenty of entertainment for the resilient kids of Sonoma. Docent led tours and shopping in the Barracks Store kept the adults happy. We are all kids at heart on Children’s Day! May the Fourth be with you.
