SPParks is a member of the CA State Parks Foundation, an umbrella organization providing support for contributing associations such as SPParks. We work with the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau to support tourism and make visitors aware of our rich historic legacy. We joined with the League for Historic Preservation, the Sonoma Valley Historical Society and the Blue Wing Trust to highlight the Pueblo era with a “Passport to History”, a community event where visitors were encouraged to visit the diverse historic sites supported by these organizations. The Native Sons of the Golden West and the Sonoma Landmarks Commission have been very generous with their time and money in support of our ongoing effort to promote and generate funding for restoration of the Petaluma Adobe State Park rancho structure, the largest privately owned adobe structure built in California.
