LECTURE - Indigenous Labor and Resistance in the Rancho Era

Local ethno-historian, April Farnham, describes how the Patwin and Wappo tribal groups of Napa and Sonoma County actively resisted colonialism during the Mexican Era. Particular attention will be focused on Chief Solano’s relationship with General Vallejo and on the indigenous labor force at Rancho Suscol and Rancho Tulucay. This talk will be given in the Sonoma Mission Chapel at 7pm; Admission $10/general public, $5/SPParks members, free for docents and staff.
