The annual Christmas at the Mission celebration was held on Saturday, December 12. A feeling of joy and community was shared by the visitors and townsfolk going to the many events around the Plaza. Even the weather helped out, giving us a clear day between rainstorms. After attending one of the four candlelight carol sessions at the Mission people wandered to the Barracks for refreshments, crafts and a wonderful campfire with musical interludes led by Alex Coburn and Philip Herrschaft. Even the store was kept open. The Pickle Creek Band regaled the crowd with old favorites at the Toscano Hotel and the wail of the bagpipes attracted people to the General Hooker House.
