Sonoma Petaluma Parks (SPParks) now offers private group tours of Mission San Francisco Solano and General Vallejo’s Home (also known as Lachryma Montis). Both of these are part of Sonoma State Historic Park. Tours can be tailored to the interests of your group. At Mission San Francisco Solano, the tour typically highlights the history of the Mission, the historical exhibits, the collection of paintings of the California missions by artist Chris Jorgensen, and the mission building and grounds, including the museum chapel and courtyard. The Vallejo Home tour typically focusses on the history of the Vallejo family while you visit the Victorian home that includes original furnishings of the Vallejo family, the historic ground, and a small museum in the adjacent chalet.
