On October 16, 2025, Special Tours coordinator Suzanne Berube gathered several docents and SPParks volunteers to host a group of Sonoma Valley residents with dementia and their caregivers at the Sonoma Barracks. The Care Partners Initiative organizes local community “Adventures” for its members each month. Their October Adventure, attended by about 20 members, featured an in-depth Barracks tour conducted by docents Jerome Knill, Lisa Tremblay, Jim Danaher, and Berube, in period clothing. Care Partners’ leader Heidi Lage, LMFT, said the outing, on a beautiful autumn day, was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
