Nature Festival at Casa Grande Plaza

California State Parks hosted a Nature Festival on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 on the Casa Grande Plaza. Local environmental and civic organizations and state parks exhibited their activities and opportunities for the public to participate in environmental conservation, restoration, preservation and education.  A steady stream of visitors perused the exhibits that were on display from 4pm to 7pm. Sonoma Petaluma State Historic Parks personnel and SPParks volunteers greeted arrivals at our Welcome Tent.  Other exhibitors included: Sonoma Community Center, Jack London State Park, Friends of the Petaluma River, Sonoma County Wildlife RescuePepperwood Preserve, All About Owls, and The Puma Project. All About Owls brought a Screech Owl and a Great Horned Owl to be appreciated up close. Thanks to Dave Duplantier for organizing this event.
