The Volunteers in Parks Program announced the launch of its new Volunteer Opportunities webpage. This page is dedicated to helping potential volunteers learn about the many opportunities available at California’s state parks, including Sonoma State Historic Park and Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park. There are over 250 active volunteer programs at over 200 parks statewide, and prospective volunteers can use this page to search for programs by the name of the park, district, type of work, length of commitment, and more. The new page also allows prospective volunteers to apply online to one or multiple parks or programs. Volunteers are critical in the execution of State Park’s mission and the recruitment page is intended to connect those who want to volunteer with a program that matches their interests.
