SPParks held its Annual General Meeting on November 14th in the A/V room at the Sonoma Barracks. About 30 members gathered to sip wine, nibble hors d’oeuvres and chat before the business session started at 6 pm. After welcoming comments, President Yvonne Bowers narrated a Powerpoint presentation, created by Dave Brummett, of SPParks many activities and substantial achievements during 2018. Rob Pickett thanked the Association, and individual Board members, for their contributions to the parks throughout the year.

Election of new Board members and Board officers produced these results:

Re-elected for 3 year term: Jim Danaher, Stephen Hamilton

Elected for 3 year term: Mike Owens, Lisa Tremblay, Sue Vargas and Jeff Weiss

Elected Board President for 2 year term: Jim Danaher

Elected Board Vice-President for 2 year term: Scott Pace

After the Business Meeting members, staff and guests meandered to the Toscano Kitchen to share Mary’s pizza, some homemade pastries and more liquid refreshment. The winner of Dave Brummett’s raffle was Vera Svalgaard, docent in training, and she received a copy of the Jorgensen Mission Paintings book. Guests lingered on enjoying the good company of fellow SPParks members.
